Course description

A focused professional learning journey.

A future-ready classroom is not defined by the number of devices it contains. It is a learning environment in which space, technology, pedagogy and relationships work together to increase participation, feedback, creativity and learner independence.

Participants investigate emerging classroom practices through hands-on design challenges. They compare tools using educational and privacy criteria, create interactive and collaborative learning experiences, and finish with a realistic transformation plan that can work within the resources of their own institution.

Day 1

Designing the Future-Ready Learning Environment

Module 01

Trends Worth Following and Trends to Question

Examine artificial intelligence, immersive media, mobile learning, connected classrooms and learning analytics through the lens of educational value rather than novelty.

Module 02

Space, Routine and Learner Agency

Audit how classroom layout, transitions, device access and teacher positioning influence collaboration, attention and independence. Redesign one routine.

Module 03 · Applied workshop

Learning-Space and Technology Audit

Analyse a classroom through pedagogy, participation, accessibility and infrastructure; identify which changes require technology and which require better routines or design.

Day 2

Interaction and Visible Learning

Module 04

Participation Beyond Hand-Raising

Create low-threshold ways for every learner to respond, ask, predict and reflect using polling, collaborative boards and response systems.

Module 05

Fast Feedback for Better Decisions

Design diagnostic checks, retrieval practice and exit evidence that help teachers adjust teaching while learning is still taking place.

Module 06 · Applied workshop

Interactive Lesson Prototype

Create and test a short learning sequence combining learner response, formative checking and immediate instructional adjustment without overloading the lesson with tools.

Day 3

Creation, Collaboration and Digital Storytelling

Module 07

Learners as Digital Creators

Move from content consumption to purposeful production through visual explanation, podcasting, short video, interactive presentations and digital storytelling.

Module 08

Structuring Productive Online Collaboration

Set roles, checkpoints, shared-work conventions and feedback protocols that make group work accountable and inclusive.

Module 09 · Applied workshop

Multimedia Creation Sprint

Produce a concise collaborative learning resource that combines text, visual, audio or video elements and gives learners a meaningful role in creating knowledge.

Day 4

Accessibility, Wellbeing and Responsible Technology

Module 10

Designing for Access from the Beginning

Apply readable design, captions, alternative formats, keyboard access and cognitive-load principles to common classroom resources.

Module 11

Privacy, Attention and Digital Balance

Evaluate data collection, platform accounts, notifications and screen-time patterns. Develop routines that support concentration and safe participation.

Module 12 · Applied workshop

Digital Accessibility Testing Lab

Test a resource for navigation, contrast, readability, captions, cognitive load, privacy and device limitations, then revise it for wider participation.

Day 5

Transformation Studio

Module 13

Building a Coherent Learning Experience

Combine interaction, creation, collaboration and assessment into a connected lesson or unit, with a purposeful low-tech alternative.

Module 14

Leading Adoption in the Home Institution

Anticipate staff confidence, infrastructure, time and support barriers. Define a small pilot, evidence of success and a route for sharing practice.

Module 15 · Applied workshop

Future Classroom Roadmap Studio

Turn a pedagogical priority into a staged implementation plan covering staff development, tool selection, learner voice, infrastructure and measurable evidence of progress.

Practical outcome: Future-classroom prototype and adoption roadmap

The sequence and examples may be fine-tuned after the pre-course needs analysis. The published learning outcomes and 30 teaching hours remain unchanged.

Teaching and learning methods

The course uses active professional learning. Short conceptual inputs are followed by investigation, creation, testing, feedback and reflection connected to each participant’s own educational context.

Assessment, validation and follow-up

Learning is evidenced through active participation, daily practical outcomes, peer and trainer feedback, the final course product and an individual transfer commitment. Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance. Learning Agreement and Europass Mobility support is available when required.
