Music-based international cooperation developing creativity, language learning and mathematical thinking among pupils.
About the project
Building European Bridges Under the Rhythm of Music explores how music can make mathematics and language learning easier, more enjoyable and more inclusive — particularly for disadvantaged and refugee students. Coordinated by C.E.I.P. Profesor Tierno Galván (Spain), the 24-month project (20 February 2022 – 20 February 2024) brought together partners from Türkiye, Czechia and Italy to exchange music-based teaching practices and produce a shared resource for teachers.

Objectives
- Increase students' mathematics skills through music
- Improve students' foreign-language skills through music
- Develop interdisciplinary competence linking music, language and mathematics
- Support the school adaptation and peer acceptance of refugee and disadvantaged students through music
- Diversify teaching methods and strengthen inclusive education practice
Project output
Led by Educademy Prague, the partnership is producing "Music Activities to be Used in Language and Mathematics Teaching" — a shared activity book reviewed by outside experts in mathematics, language development and music, to be distributed digitally to schools and integrated into partner curricula beyond the life of the project.
