About the project
Robo-Lab and Augmented Reality for Edu-Innovation (R.A.R.E.) responds to the digital gaps the pandemic exposed in classrooms across Europe by bringing robotic coding (RC) and augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) into everyday teaching. Eight partner organisations from Spain, Romania, Ireland, Czechia, Türkiye, Finland, Norway and the Netherlands trained teachers and students together, then had them co-create lesson plans using ICT, robotics and AR/VR across subjects such as science, geography, tourism, cultural identity and foreign languages. The 24-month project (13 December 2021 – 13 December 2023) was coordinated by Fundación para la Innovación y la Tecnología (FUITEC, Spain).

Learning, Teaching and Training activities
LTTAugmented Reality for Students
Finland
Students explored AR/VR applications in STEAM subjects, visited Heureka science centre, Aalto University and the University of Helsinki, and worked in groups producing AR content and a shared quiz.
LTTWeb 2.0 Tools for Students
Norway
A workshop-based mobility examining the shift from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, publishing and editing tools, and Web 2.0's combination with AI/machine learning, alongside cultural visits in Drammen and Oslo.
LTTTeacher Training on Digital Technologies, Robotic Coding and AR
LTTRobotic Coding for Students
Project outputs
- IO1 — Coding and Robotics Education Platform
- IO2 — Course content for the interdisciplinary introduction of robotic coding and augmented reality
- 24 subject-based lesson plans, published as e-books/e-journals
- Brochures summarising each LTT activity for teachers and students
This section will be updated with further materials (platform access, lesson plans, photos) as they are shared.
